We returned the first one mainly because the iPad could not be charged or synced with the case on - we had to remove the bottom edge of the case - the opening for the cable connector was too small. It would also not fit in the dock with the case on, but that may not be possible with ANY case. This one allows charging and syncing, and is nice and thin, so it doesn't make the iPad too bulky.
