They are basically iPhone-compatible chargers, and they also slap "iPad" on the list of supported products.But the iPad charger is different than one for the iPhone, requiring 10 watts of output power instead of the iPhone charger's 5 watts. An iPhone charger won't damage the iPad, but it will take forever to charge, and I don't think it will charge the iPad while it's turned on -- like plugging it into a USB port.This charger's product page really stresses that it works with the iPad, and it's really cheap, so not too much of a risk. I'll point out one of the major things that worried me about the case, and that is the elastic bands that hold the unit in place. To anyone wondering if they do their job well, they really do. In fact, they hold the unit in so snuggly that I actually have trouble taking it out sometimes. They do their job, and they do it very well.Another thing I was worried about was wether or not the front flap would have trouble staying closed after long periods of being folded back, much like the official Apple case. What I got was two solid "leather" corner strips at what I'll call the bottom, and one at the top that goes all the way across the top. Meaning there is NOTHING keeping the iPad from falling out the top of the case, which it is more than heavy enough to do. This also blocks the light sensor. Flipping around covers the home bottom and doesn't solve the problem of my iPad falling three feet to its death while I'm walking to my plane. We returned the first one mainly because the iPad could not be charged or synced with the case on - we had to remove the bottom edge of the case - the opening for the cable connector was too small. It would also not fit in the dock with the case on, but that may not be possible with ANY case. This one allows charging and syncing, and is nice and thin, so it doesn't make the iPad too bulky.
